Been a While

The Calgary Greenhouse has taken a bit of a break for the summer but... the fall is now here and given that we have all hit hard into September it may be beneficial to once again gather.

Is Thursday nights still good?
Do we still like Cafe Koi?
Any thoughts, suggestions, epiphanies?

Greenhouse Meeting May 31

Next meet up for the greenhouse is Thursday May 31. Yeah, that's next Thursday. Yeah, we should have updated the blog sooner. All apologies. Hope to see you there.

Next Meet-up

As mentioned below our next Greenhouse is scheduled for Mar 22nd. Where going to meet at Cafe Koi again this time. It's fairly central and the food is pretty decent.

(Actually Avenue magazine just named there Creative Sandwiches one of the 25 best things to eat in Calgary)

Anyway 7pm at Cafe Koi on 1st St. SW right near the corner of 11th Ave. Let us know if you'll be able to make it so we can make a big enough reservation.

Clash of Cultures

My friend Darren posted this interview from 100 Huntley Street.

The first time I watched I turned it off... I was laughing, but also uncomfortable - it seemed like people from two different countries practicing all the cultural faux pas without realizing it. I get a little squirmy about stuff like that... the next time I watched it I finished it - but it was interesting to see how folks react when you're both interested in the same 'ends' but you use (live) very different 'means'.

Calgary Meet-up

Good times hanging on Thursday night. There was Robin, Dave, Jeremy, Jared, and myself. Basically we were getting to know each other a little bit better and sharing our stories.

Although some of us know each other reasonably well, there were some first time acquaintancing going down.

A semi-regular facetoface like this helps us invite other interested people to be a part of the conversation.

First Greenhouse Meeting

February 8th. Mark your calendars.

We are going to give this a shot and see who is interested in being a part of this initiative. The 8th seemed like a good time to get rolling given that Jared Siebert, he of Life Cycle Project and Resonate Greenhouse National Leadership is going to be in town. We're going to meet at 7pm at Cafe Koi on the 1st SW right near the corner of 11th Ave.
